What has been your experience in dealing with venture capitalists? It seems like there's not a lot of activity in the DMV?

I would describe my experience w/ VCs accordingly: some good, some bad, mostly just OK. It really depends on your business, stage, relationships, etc. And +90% of businesses are not really suitable for venture financing, not becase they are not good businesses just that the entrepreur should seek more typical financing sources to start-out; friends, family, bank and/or customers (however novel). The DMV activity is a bit of a mirage, many of the deals are very early stage and really in a closed knit community, unless you are in area where there is huge demand (and you are quite seasoned). Let me know if you would like to speak at greater length? Thanks for asking.
