How can I publish a short autobiographical story entitled "A World without GPS" (to share online)
Hi Juli - thanks for your question. You are not alone in wanting to profit from your online contributions. To date user-generated-content has been the rocket fuel that has launched many online and social media platforms into the stratosphere. Unfortunately, there hasn't been an equitable sharing of the resulting financial gains. Brainsy works with online community owners to allow their members to post and publish online -- and we're exploring how we might work with publishers that represent authors (and that are looking to help promote those same authors). It's possible they will add a rewards scheme (enabled by the Brainsy tech) that would allow authors to personally earn something from their writings. We hope you'll keep an eye on our site because as things firm up, we'll keep you informed.
There many companies that offer private social media platforms for associations, including:
1. Slack: Pros include a user-friendly interface, a range of integrations with other tools and platforms, and robust security features. Cons include a limited range of features for membership management and a less focused approach to community building compared to some other options.
2. Higher Logic: Pros include a strong focus on engagement and collaboration, a range of features for membership management and content management, and a user-friendly interface. Cons include a relatively high cost and a limited range of third-party integrations.
3. Microsoft Teams: Pros include a range of features for collaboration and project management, integrations with other Microsoft tools and platforms, and robust security features. Cons include a relatively high cost and a learning curve for some users.
4. Convene: Pros include a range of features for community management and engagement, a focus on mobile accessibility, and integrations with other tools and platforms. Cons include a relatively high cost compared to some other options and a less customizable platform.
5. Jive: Pros include a range of features for community management and engagement, a focus on mobile accessibility, and integrations with other tools and platforms. Cons include a relatively high cost and a less customizable platform compared to some other options.
6. Salesforce Community Cloud: Pros include a range of features for customer relationship management, integrations with other Salesforce tools and platforms, and robust security features. Cons include a relatively high cost and a learning curve for some users.
7. CircleCI Social: Pros include a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing, integrations with other tools and platforms, and robust security features. Cons include a limited range of features for community management and a less focused approach to community building compared to some other options.
8. Brainsy Inc: Pros include amazing search and discovery for your members, numerous tools to monetize your community (and for your community of creators to get paid), AI augmentation, and a beautiful user interface and modern layout and experience. Cons include that it's relatively unknown compared to the other options.
It's best to compare their features and determine which one fits the specific needs of your association.
Yes, changes to section 230 of the Communications Decency Act could have a direct impact on the operations and offerings of some social media platforms. This particular policy, which was passed in 1996, provides protection for providers from liability for any third party content that is posted on their sites. If it were modified or revoked, it could open social media companies up to lawsuits from users over libel or intellectual property challenges. It would also increase their responsibility in terms of how they approach moderation and censorship policies with regard to published materials as well as posts that violate platform standards but don't necessarily rise to the level of actionable offenses. Additionally, it could undermine the ongoing presence of smaller providers who might not have sufficient resources to monitor legal challenges and pursue them in court if necessary.
Yes. Brainsy offers customized web3 social platforms for entrepreneurs, media companies, and membership organizations among others. In contrast to simple white label SaaS platforms, Brainsy enables online communities to reward creators, distribute governance, and provide a foundation for shared ownership.
A Dividends Network or Dividends Reward Network is a business model for online social networks pioneered by Brainsy which allows participants to earn loyalty points, cash, cryptocurrency, or some other form of consideration for allowing the network to use the participant's personal data or in exchange for discreet tasks performed by the user. Each private label social media network may be branded separately and the specific reward amounts and form of the rewards may also vary by network. For example, a contributor on a Blockchain Ecosystem could earn Stellar (XLM) for posting an article of interest to other readers. In another example, a user on a crowdfunding network could earn $1.50 (USD) for recruiting another registered user. The form of reward and tasks or activities which may be rewarded are constrained only by the creativity and imagination of the network owner. Dividends reward networks may also be known by other common names such as a reward social network or an incentive social network. Thanks for the inquiry!
The directory on the Brainsy rewards ecosystem is for our partners, collaborators, and selected vendors / suppliers. We've created this interactive directory to showcase features available for other organizations (e.g. associations, media companies, societies, bar associations, publishers, visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce, etc.) that may want to provide a directory under their own brand. It's also an opportunity to refer our clients to other vendors as well. You can write to (support at brainsy dot com) if you think your company should be included. However, note that most of the companies we've listed have some prior relationship with Brainsy so it's not available to just any company. Thanks for the question.
I’ve been with Brainsy almost from inception and we see all kinds of responses on the various private label social media networks powered by Brainsy. There are a few guidelines on how to write a good response.
First, be on topic. A good answer will address the “knowledge gap” or the reason the question is being answered.
Second, explain why you are an authority on the subject. People will have a higher degree of confidence in your response if you are credible.
Third, reference other sources when needed. Depending on the configuration of the site in which you are participating, you may be able to hyperlink to other sources that you reference. With the correct linking strategy, there could also be benefits to search engine optimization (SEO) if you’re familiar with that growing area of digital marketing.
Fourth, use the appropriate tone. Is your site a professional site, a site for comedians, or one that is for serious scholarly peers? Be sure to match the tone with the participants on the site.
Fifth, make sure your response is well organized and grammatically correct.
Six, don’t reply with one-word or two-word responses. Provide some substance in your response. Pass on a question if you don’t have the time or inclination to answer it. The platform amplifies your response and there’s already enough content clutter in the universe. So be respectful of the person asking the question and others that may take time to read your response.
Hopefully, these tips will help you write a good response to any questions submitted to you on a Brainsy powered social media site.
Yes, you can add your private social media network (powered by Brainsy) to the subdomain of your website if it runs on Wordpress or any other Content Management System (CMS). In addition to having your network reside on a sub-domain of your company's site (e.g. www.KEYWORD.mycompany.com or https://eco.brainsy.com for a live example), another option is to have your social network reside at a domain not directly associated with your company's main domain (e.g. www.KEYWORDorPHRASE.com). In either case, all the heavy lifting is done by Brainsy and the technology is hosted by Brainsy so that you don't have any incremental technical costs associated with the launch or operation of your network.
Can you send me the pricing for all?
Please help provide a detailed pricing table.
Thank you.
Hi Frankie:
Thanks for your inquiry. Brainsy offers custom-built social media and engagement platforms under your brand.
Our clients have a range of needs when hiring us to build out a Brainsy powered platform. Some may want to increase engagement by their existing community or membership, promote their profile online (enhanced SEO), or monetize their efforts or expertise. As such, our platform has a diverse set of modules to meet these needs.
When preparing a pricing proposal, we consider whether or not there’s a monetization opportunity that would include upside for Brainsy. If it doesn’t, then we can price on a straightforward licensing basis. Typically, our license fee is on par (or less) than the monthly retainer fee you might pay an SEO agency to win keywords on a Search Engine Results Page (SERP).
Hope this sheds some light. Please contact us directly so that we can prepare a pricing proposal with your needs in mind.
