In the quest to go viral and gain followers, antagonism and provocation became the order of the day. But what if the focus were shifted to following specific interests and communities, not specific people? {Note: Companies that pay for social media "likes" are setting themselves up for extinction. Why? Company A pays for consumer to "like" their profile and the social media platform now has data on the interests of that consumer. They sell it to Company B -- a competitor.
